A place of faith. The Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Penha (Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Penha) was once part of the Salesian College and has an interesting architecture, typical of the early twentieth century. The place itself is a work of art: its internal painting was done by the Indian artist Diwali, and the temple has beautiful french stained glass windows with classic religious motifs. It attracts many people to the celebrations of the Catholic calendar, year after year, especially to the Cavalcade of Nossa Senhora da Penha, a procession that closes the celebrations in homage to the patroness.
